BORIS KANTSEBOVSKY
April 5, 1922
Born on April 5, 1922 in the village of Golovanevskoye in the Odessa Region, Ukraine.
Served in the army from July 14, 1941 until March of 1947 and from 1950 until 1956.
Kantsebovsky fought in the 1037th rifle regiment of the 223rd Azerbaijan rifle division of the Transcaucasian Front (offensive through the Caucasian crossing - Derbent, Chechnya, Mozdok and on the territory of the Krasnodar Krai). He was in the 69th special mortar battalion of the 8th Molodechno guard in the Red Banner mechanized brigade of the 3rd Stalingrad guard and part of the High Command Reserves. Battle route: 1st Ukrainian Front, Steppe, 3rd Byelorussian Front, and 2nd Baltic Front, Orel-Kursk battles, combat near Kanev, the boosting of the Dnepr River, fights in Byelorussia (liberation of Borisov and Molodechno), Latvia (Tukums, Riga). He took part in military action on the territory of Manchuria (Baikal Front) in the war against Japan.
He was awarded an order of the second degree of the Patriotic War, the “Red Star”, and medals “For the defense of the Caucasus”, “For Victory over Germany”, and “For Victory over Japan”.

Родился 5 апреля 1922 г. в с. Голованевское Одесской обл., Украина.
В армии с 14 июля 1941 г. по март 1947 г., с 1950 по 1956 г.г.
Воевал в составе 1037-го стрелкового полка 223-й Азербайджанской стрелковой дивизии Закавказского фронта (наступление через Кавказский перевал – Дербент, Чечня, Моздок и на территории Краснодарского края); в 69-м отдельном минометном батальоне 8-й гвардейской Молодечненской Краснознаменной механизированной бригады 3-го гвардейского Сталинградского мехкорпуса Резерва Главного Командования. Боевой путь: 1-й Украинский, Степной, 3-й Белорусский и 2-й Прибалтийский фронты; Орловско-Курская битва, бои под г. Канев, форсирование р. Днепр, бои на территории Белоруссии (освобождение Борисова, Молодечно и др.), Литвы (Вильнюс), Латвии (Тукумс, Рига и др.). Участник боевых действий на территории Манчжурии (Забайкальский фронт) в войне с Японией.
Награжден орденами Отечественной войны II степени, «Красная Звезда»; медалями «За оборону Кавказа», «За победу над Германией», «За победу над Японией».
