Born in Kiev, Ukraine.
Lebedev began his service in the war in July 1941 in a special squadron in the battle for the defense of Kiev, where he was injured. After his recovery, he fought in the 6th artillery regiment of the Kiev-Dansk Red Banner order of the Bogdan Khmelnitskiy rifle division, which led the offensive on the Kursk salient for the liberation of Kiev. He then took part in the boosting of the Dunai River, the liberations of Belgrade, Turnu-Severin, and Pozharevaya, and battles on the territory of Austria.
He was awarded an order of the second degree of the Patriotic War, the “Red Star”, two medals “For Valor”, and medals “For the defense of Kiev” and “For Victory over Germany”. He is the Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, the Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine, the Laureate of the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, and has other awards such as “Golden order of Kiril and Mefodiy”.

Родился в г. Киев, Украина.
В составе отдельной эскадрильи начал войну в июле 1941 г. в боях за оборону Киева, где был ранен. После излечения воевал в 6-м артиллерийском полку Киевско-Дунайской Краснознаменной ордена Богдана Хмельницкого стрелковой дивизии, которая вела наступательные бои на Курской дуге, за освобождение Киева; форсировал р. Дунай, освобождал Белград, Турну-Северин, Пожаревая; участник боев на территории Австрии.
Награжден орденами Отечественной войны II степени, «Красная Звезда»; двумя медалями «За отвагу», медалями «За оборону Киева», «За победу над Германией». Лауреат государственной премии СССР, лауреат государственной премии Украины, лауреат премии Совета министров СССР, обладатель др. наград, в т.ч. болгарского «Золотого ордена Кирилла и Мефодия».
