GERMAN KUNIK
September 13, 1924
Born on September 13, 1924 in the village of Polesskoye in the Kiev Region, Ukraine.
Served in the army from 1942 until 1944.
Kunik fought in the 856th rifle regiment. He took part in combat on the Kursk salient and in the liberation of Byelorussia (the boosting of the Sazh River and the liberation of Slavgorod, where he was wounded).
He was awarded an order of the first degree of the Patriotic War, the “Red Star”, and medals “For Distinguished Achievements in Combat” and “For Victory over Germany”.

Родился 13 сентября 1924 г. в с. Полесское Киевской области, Украина.
В армии с 1942 по 1944 г.г.
Воевал в составе 856-го стрелкового полка. Участвовал в боях на Курской дуге и в освобождении Белоруссии (форсирование р. Сож и освобождение Славгорода, где был ранен).
Награжден орденами Отечественной войны I степени, «Красная Звезда»; медалями «За боевые заслуги», «За победу над Германией».
