ILYA IZMAYLOV

Born in 1926 in the town of Sosnitsya in the Chernigov Region, Ukraine.
Served in the army from 1943 until 1945.
Izmaylov fought in the 3rd Kotelnikov guard tank corps of the 5th guard tank Àrmy on the 2nd and 3rd Byelorussian Fronts. He took part in battles for the liberation of the Baltic States and in the Eastern-Pomeranian operation. He was heavily injured on May, 1945, during an assault on a strong enemy defended zone while approaching the Baltic Sea (Kezlin).
He was awarded an order of the first degree of the Patriotic War and medals “For Valor” and “For Victory over Germany”.
ИЛЬЯ БОРИСОВИЧ ИЗМАЙЛОВ
Родился в 1926 в г. Сосница Черниговской обл., Украина.
В армии с 1943 по 1945 г.г.
Воевал в составе 3-го гвардейского Котельниковского танкового корпуса 5-й гвардейской танковой армии 2-го и 3-го Белорусских фронтов. Принимал участие в боях за освобождение Прибалтики и в Восточно-Померанской операции. При штурме опорного пункта обороны противника на подступах к Балтийскому морю (Кезлин) был тяжело ранен.
Награжден орденом Отечественной войны I степени; медалями «За отвагу», «За победу над Германией».
