ISAAK SHARGORODSKIY

Born in the town of Tulchin in the Vinnitsa Region, Ukraine.
Served in the army from 1941 until 1945.
Shargorodskiy began fighting on the territory of Ukraine and found himself in Czechoslovakia (Banska Bistritsa). In 40th army, he commanded a medical force team which traveled to the locations of the heaviest battles where he set up a hospital and performed operations on wounded soldiers from the front lines.
He was awarded an order of the Red Banner, two orders of the second degree of the Patriotic War, two orders of the “Red Star”, two medals “For Distinguished Achievements in Combat”, and medals “For the defense of Kiev” and “For Victory over Germany”.

В армии с 1941 по 1945 г.г.
Начал воевать на территорthe ии Украины и встретил окончание войны в Чехословакии (Банска Быстрица). В 40-й армии руководил группой медицинского усиления, которая выезжала на участки самых тяжелых боев, где разворачивал госпиталь и оперировал раненых на передовых позициях.
Награжден орденом Красного Знамени, двумя орденами Отечественной войны II степени, двумя орденами «Красная Звезда»; двумя медалями «За боевые заслуги», медалями «За оборону Киева», «За победу над Германией».
