My grandfather fought in the artillery anti-tank troops near Leningrad in 1944. In wartime he received the rank of lieutenant colonel.
He received a medal for Courage. And after the war he continued his service and received the title Colonel.

Воевал в артиллерийских противотанковых войсках под Ленинградом в 1944 г. Получил медаль за Отвагу. В военное время получил звание подполковника . А уже после войны продолжил службу и получил звание полковника.
