LENYA FLEYSHER
June 17, 1923
Born on June 17, 1923 in Odessa, Ukraine.
Served in the army from 1941 until 1945.
From July through December 1941, Fleysher fought in the 25th Chapayevsk division in the 9th Army (the defense of Odessa and Rostov). After recovering from an injury in 1942, he was sent to the floating base “Kotovsk” of the 2nd brigade of the Black Sea fleet submarines. In the same year, he was transferred into the 253rd Marine division (the defense of Leningrad and combat near Staraya Russa). After yet another injury and contusion in March 1944, Fleysher fought on the MO A-31 special destroyer escort brigade of the Black Sea fleet (the liberation of Odessa). He finished his service in the war in Rumania.
He was awarded an order of the first degree of the Patriotic War and medals “For Distinguished Achievements in Combat”, “For the defense of Odessa” and “For Victory over Germany”.

Родился 17 июня 1923 г. в г. Одесса, Украина.
В армии с 1941 по 1945 г.г.
В июле – декабре 1941 г. воевал в составе 25-й Чапаевской дивизии 9-й армии (оборона Одессы и Ростова). После ранения и излечения в1942 г. направлен на плавбазу «Котовский» 2-й бригады подводных лодок Черноморского флота, в этом же году переведен в морскую пехоту – 253-ю дивизию (оборона Ленинграда, бои под Старой Руссой). После длительного излечения от очередного ранения и контузии с марта 1944 г. воевал на МО А-31 отдельной бригады сторожевых кораблей Черноморского флота (освобождение Одессы). Закончил войну в Румынии.
Награжден орденом Отечественной войны I степени; медалями «За боевые заслуги», «За оборону Одессы», «За победу над Германией».
