Born October 5, 1923 in village of Savran of the Odessa Region, Ukraine.
Served in the army from August 1941 until March 1947.
Dratver fought in the 136th rifle regiment (the defense of Odessa). He was heavily wounded in August. After his recovery, he fought in the 15th special rifle brigade (combat in Mious, Ukraine), and in the 203rd Zaporozhsko-Khingansk division (combat near Stalingrad). He took part in combat for the liberation of Donbass, Dnepropetrovsk Region, the cities of Zaporozhye, Odessa, in Yasso-Kushinev battle, on the territories of Rumania, Hungary (Budapest, Lake Balaton), and Czechoslovakia (Brno). At the end of the war, he was part of the military subdivision at the Nuremburg Trials.
He was awarded orders of the first and second degrees of the Patriotic War, the “Red Star”, and medals “For Distinguished Achievements in Combat”, “For Victory over Germany”, and “For the taking of Budapest”.

Воевал в составе 136-го стрелкового полка (оборона Одессы). В августе был тяжело ранен. После излечения воевал в составе 15-й отдельной стрелковой бригады (бои на р. Миус, Украина); 203-й Запорожско-Хинганской дивизии (бои под Сталинградом). Участвовал в боях за освобождение Донбасса, Днепропетровской обл., городов Запорожья, Одессы; в Ясско-Кишиневском сражении, на территории Румынии, Венгрии (Будапешт, озеро Балатон). Чехословакии (Брно). По окончании войны находился в воинском подразделении по обеспечению Нюрнбергского процесса.
Награжден орденами Отечественной войны I и II степеней, «Красная Звезда»; медалями «За боевые заслуги», «За победу над Германией», «За взятие Будапешта».
