LEV KHODARKOVSKIY
May 7, 1921
Born on May 7, 1921 in the town of Tarascha in the Kiev Region, Ukraine.
Served in the army from 1941 until 1945.
Khodarkovskiy fought in the 351st special combat engineer battalion (1st Ukrainian and Stalingrad Fronts). He took part in defensive combat as well as the offensive (Kiev and Stalingrad), Lvov-Sandomir operations, and the assault on and taking of Berlin. The end of the war found him in Czechoslovakia (Prague). He took part in the mining of many military sections during reconnaissance operations.
He was awarded an order of the first degree of the Patriotic War, the “Red Star”, Glory of the third degree, and medals “For Valor”, “For the defense of Stalingrad”, “For Victory over Germany”, For the taking of Belin, and “For the liberation of Prague”.

Участник оборонительных боев и наступлений (Киев, Сталинград), Львовско-Сандомирской операции, штурма и взятия Берлина. Окончание войны встретил в Чехословакии (Прага). Участвовал в минировании многочисленных участков боевых действий, в разведывательных операциях.
Награжден орденами Отечественной войны I степени, «Красная Звезда», Славы III степени; медалями «За отвагу», «За оборону Сталинграда», «За победу над Германией», «За взятие Берлина», «За освобождение Праги».
