Levin fought in the reconnaissance platoon of the 706th rifle regiment in the 204th Vitebsk division on the Baltic Front.
He was awarded an order of the first degree of the Patriotic War, the “Red Star”, Glory of the third degree and a medal “For Victory over Germany”.
