SAM BERENGUT

My Dad Sam Berengut was born in Mikhov Poland in 1919. After Nazi Germany invaded Poland, he ran away from ghetto and ended up in the Soviet Union. In 1941 he volunteered to the Army and he fought Nazis entire war till May of 1945 when Germans were defeated. He participated in many memorable battles and had many medals and awards for his bravery during that time. He settled in Baku, AzSSR till we emigrated to the USA in November of 1980.
